Change your menopause. Not your life.
Women are making a change to Femring®. It's the first and only vaginal estrogen replacement therapy to treat moderate to severe hot flashes, night sweats, and vaginal dryness. When used only for vaginal dryness, other vaginal products should be considered. Femring is a flexible ring that you (or your doctor) insert into your vagina. The best part: Just one dose lasts for three months. No more pills, patches or messy creams. After three months, you simply remove Femring and insert a new one. And Femring does not contain progestin.

Femring is a convenient and effective way to treat your menopause symptoms. Femring works by replacing the estradiol lost during menopause to help reduce your symptoms. And it's easy to insert and remove. Of 5,150 women who self-inserted, 86.2% reported that insertion was easy, and 83.8% indicated that removal was also easy. Based on responses from 1,660 women, 92.8% reported that Femring did not interfere with sexual activity. In fact, most women reported their partner could not feel or detect Femring.*

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT INFORMATION I SHOULD KNOW ABOUT FEMRING (AN ESTROGEN HORMONE)?
  • Estrogens increase the chances of getting cancer of the uterus. Report any unusual vaginal bleeding right away while you are taking estrogens. Vaginal bleeding after menopause may be a warning sign of cancer of the uterus (womb). Your healthcare provider should check any unusual vaginal bleeding to find out the cause.
  • Do not use estrogens with or without progestins to prevent heart disease, heart attacks, strokes or dementia. Using estrogens with or without progestins may increase your chances of getting heart attacks, strokes, breast cancer and blood clots. Using estrogens with progestins may increase your risk of dementia. You and your healthcare provider should talk regularly about whether you still need treatment with Femring.

Femring is not for everyone. You should not use Femring if you have unusual vaginal bleeding, a history of certain cancers, blood clots, have had a stroke or heart attack in the past year or if you are pregnant or want to become pregnant.

Common side effects include headache, irregular vaginal bleeding or spotting, breast tenderness, and abdominal cramps. Other serious but less common side effects of estrogen include breast or uterine cancer, cardiovascular disease and stroke. These are not all the possible side effects of Femring.
